Underside relief grooves and other design details of our tongue and groove permit normal movement and reduce squeaking in the finished floor. Sticking to strict tolerances in milling results in a precise fit on sides and ends of our planks. Our bundles contain long average lengths, creating a rich look of continuity in the finished floor.

A time-tested favorite, White Oak is a very durable flooring material.
In our Mesa grade, White Oak will contain color variation, knots up to 2” in diameter, including open knots, holes up to ¾” in diameter, cracks which don’t compromise the integrity of the flooring, along with other character marks. We do allow edge defect in this grade. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with an approximate average of about 5’. Mesa grade White Oak results in a floor with abundant contrasting color and character.

In Casa grade, White Oak will contain color variation and knots up to 1-1/2” in diameter, along with other occasional character marks, but no edge defect. Small open holes up to ¼” in diameter are also allowed. Casa grade White Oak results in a floor with beautiful contrasting tones, and sound defect requiring very little fill. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with an average of about 5’.

Hacienda, our highest grade, has less extreme variations in color than Casa grade. It is almost free from knots, with only occasional small pin knots (up to 1/16” in diameter) allowed. Grey stain is not allowed in Hacienda Hickory. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with the average of 5’. This creates a floor with a refined look with more consistent color and long length.
